Delete your Bunk account

Bunk is an app by Omar Abouelsaoud for people who share a home. You can delete your Bunk account and its personal information at any time, with or without the app.

In the app

1. Open Bunk and go to More.
2. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

You don't have to be settled up first. If you pay for a household's subscription, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play as well: deleting your account doesn't cancel it.

Without the app

Email support@trybunk.com from the email address on your Bunk account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you can't send from that address, tell us which address it is; we may ask you to confirm the request from it. Please don't send passwords or payment details.

We'll delete the account within 45 days, and usually much sooner.

What's deleted

• Your sign-in account, with your email address, password and profile photo.
• Your name on shared records, which becomes "Deleted User".
• Your Venmo and Cash App handles, time zone, Home layout, push tokens and notification settings.
• Photos on shopping items, favorites and proposals you added. Their files are deleted within two days.
• Bunk's access to your Apple sign-in, if you used Sign in with Apple.

What's kept, and for how long

• Shared household records stay with each household, credited to "Deleted User": expenses, splits, payments, receipt photos, proposals, votes, lists, chores, events and activity history. Your former housemates rely on them for what they paid and owe. You can email us to ask for review or removal of specific content.
• A reduced account record stays in our database, without your name, email address or photo. It holds an internal ID, the former sign-in account ID, which version of the Terms you agreed to and when, and record dates.
• Copies in diagnostics and logs expire on their own: up to 90 days for crash reports and server logs, and up to 30 days for background-job logs. Database backups expire under their retention settings.
• Subscription records are kept by RevenueCat, Apple and Google under their own policies.
